It associates a domain name to an IP address that changes over time. Users could access to the resources behind a dynamic IP address assigned CPE with an easily memorized domain name instead.<br \/>\nIn this post, I ll post the procedure of setting up DDNS at ScreenOS using NO-IP DDNS service with SSL enabled in GUI. One of ScreenOS&#8217; beauties is the GUI management.<br \/>\n<!--more--><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>&nbsp;Go to: &#8220;Network&#8221; -&gt; &#8220;DNS&#8221; -&gt; &#8220;DDNS&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;Check &#8220;Config DDNS Client&#8221; and &#8220;Enable DDNS Client&#8221; and click &#8220;Apply&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;Click &#8220;New&#8221; button to setup a DDNS service.<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;Fill in the blanks and it should be\n<ol>\n<li>For server type: &#8220;dyndns&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Server name: &#8220;dynupdate.no-ip.com&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Refresh Interval: &#8220;3&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Minimum Update Interval: &#8220;60&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Clear text: &#8220;uncheck&#8221; (unchecking this option makes the DDNS update via https)<\/li>\n<li>Username and Password: (input the one you have registered with at the NO-IP web site.)<\/li>\n<li>Agent: &#8220;we could let the ScreenOS to fill in itself&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>Bind to Interface: (select the WAN interface that is connecting to the internet.)<\/li>\n<li>Host Name: (host name is the DDNS name you have registered at NO-IP web site.)<\/li>\n<li>Service: &#8220;dyndns&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;Click &#8220;OK&#8221; after finished.<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;In this case, it should not work with the following error because the geotrust cert needs to be installed.<a href=\"https:\/\/networkingnotesblog.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/09\/screenshot-from-2015-09-10-224647.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-33\" src=\"https:\/\/networkingnotesblog.files.wordpress.com\/2015\/09\/screenshot-from-2015-09-10-224647.png?w=300\" alt=\"Screenshot from 2015-09-10 22:46:47\" width=\"300\" height=\"10\" srcset=\"http:\/\/notes4it.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/screenshot-from-2015-09-10-224647.png 705w, http:\/\/notes4it.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/09\/screenshot-from-2015-09-10-224647-300x10.png 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;The Juniper web site has a guide of installing the Geotrust cert.
